IULS Vision

The vision of ”Ion Ionescu de la Brad” Iasi University of Life Sciences (IULS) is to be a national leader in higher education and scientific research in the fields of plant, animal and food resource engineering, environmental engineering, and veterinary medicine, while simultaneously securing a top position among European universities in these areas. This entails training high-quality graduates capable of meeting both the demands of the labor market and the challenges of sustainable development in the agricultural, food, and environmental sectors.

The university aims to strengthen an innovative research system, grounded in international collaborations, European projects, and knowledge transfer between academia and the economic sector, to generate concrete solutions in its specialized domains. At the same time, IULS targets integration and recognition within European university networks and research platforms, strengthening partnerships with prestigious EU institutions, and elevating performance indicators in education, research, internationalization, and socio-economic impact.

Thus, the vision expresses the aspiration to transform IULS into a reference university, recognized at both national and European levels for academic excellence, the relevance of applications in agriculture, the food industry, environmental protection, and veterinary medicine, as well as for its contribution to the sustainable development of the region and Romania.
