The Centre conducts research in the field of antimicrobial agents, antimicrobial resistance, and anticancer chemotherapy, providing in vitro evaluation and testing on animal models within research projects and doctoral theses.

Services offered:

  • in vitro screening of new molecules for antibacterial, antifungal, and antiparasitic activity;
  • standardized tests for MIC, MBC, MFC detection;
  • time-kill assays;
  • metabolic inhibition activity evaluation tests for bacteria, fungi, and parasites (protozoa);
  • tests for evaluating the inhibition of bacterial and fungal biofilm formation;
  • in vitro toxicity tests on cell cultures;
  • molecular biology tests for detecting antimicrobial resistance mechanisms;
  • acute and chronic in vivo toxicity tests (LD50, DMT, etc.);
  • in vivo therapeutic efficacy evaluation on animal models of bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections (survival curve — Kaplan-Meier estimation);
  • evaluation of the cytostatic effect of new compounds on murine models with various tumor types.
