Specialization of Landscape Engineering
The profile of the landscape engineer
The landscape engineer, through his/her multidisciplinary formation, is specialized in projecting, executing and maintaining urban and landscape sites. Over the four years, the future landscape engineer gains knowledge in fundamental fields of botany, plant protection and physiology, but also in speciality fields, such as: computer-assisted computer, 3D modeling, urbanism and land management, urban and landscape planning, restoration and landscape rehabilitation, flower and tree ornamental cultivation, techniques of landscape sketching.
Professional prospects
The landscape engineer possesses the necessary competences to become specialists within:
- architectural companies;
- interior and flower design companies;
- companies based on production and distribution of ornamental plants;
- horticultural farms and harvesting grounds;
- consultancy, evaluation and phytosanitary control societies;
- urbanism and landscape planning departments of city halls;
After graduating from master’s and PhD programs, landscape engineers are active in horticultural research and university education.
