In 2021, in accordance with the Government Decision no. 540 of May 13, 2021, published in the Official Monitor no. 509 of 17.05.2021, the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Iaşi became the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” Iași University of Life Sciences.

Admission to higher agronomic education is organized by the University on the basis of the general criteria established by the Ministry of Education and its own regulations. The studies in agronomic university education end with a bachelor’s exam, the graduates acquiring the title of “engineer” in the specialization followed, respectively “bachelor” in veterinary medicine or biology.

Iasi University of Life Sciences (IULS) is a specialized institution of superior agronomic and veterinary medicine training, financed by the state and having as fundamental mission the training of agricultural, horticultural and animal sciences engineers, agricultural economists, engineers in food industry, biologists, as well as veterinary doctors.

Our university is a serious academic partner, recognized by many European universities and institutions in the field of activity. We have 159 people as part of our teaching staff and research teams, who are teaching over 4200 students.
